Adopting Health & Safety processes & procedures accredited to international OHSAS 18001 standards & regularly audited, McGinley Logistics works hard to maintain an accident-free record. As part of our standards, we regularly review our processes with the aim of continuously improving to achieve our goals.

Our key processes include:

  • Monthly HSQE meetings to review any identified issues or opportunities for improvement
  • Proactive communication with staff & workers on legislation changes & best practice
  • Ensuring all staff & operatives hold the correct/appropriate CITB/CSCS/CPCS qualification, validating & retaining copies
  • Ensuring all certification/qualification/cards are valid through our ‘early warning’ system
  • Enforcing our ‘No PPE, No Work’ policy
  • No person is allowed to work on site without first undergoing general safety site inductions
  • All operatives supplied on site understand the English language to a suitable level
  • Site specific method statements & risk assessments are produced for each activity we manage & undertake on site
  • All risk assessment & method statements are ‘live’ documents, reviewed & updated regularly
  • Regular site inspections are carried out by our in-house & external safety experts

Health & Safety Training  

We ensure relevant toolbox talks & detailed training is provided to operatives who perform both general & specific tasks. Toolbox talks include:

  • Manual handling
  • Safe use of portable power tools
  • Safe use of abrasive wheels
  • Safe use of harness
  • Safe use of ladders

  • First Aid at Work
